CC 10 draft - More home and less Schooling

Persuade with Power:

More home and less school:

“There is no school equal to a decent home and no teacher equal to a virtuous parent.”
― Gandhi

“The home is the first and most effective place to learn the lessons of life: truth, honor, virtue, self control, the value of education, honest work, and the purpose and privilege of life. Nothing can take the place of home in rearing and teaching children, and no other success can compensate for failure in the home.”
― David O. McKay

“It is the mark of a truly educated man to know what not to read.”....what to say, how to say...what to read what not to read ...
― Ezra Taft Benson

“[Homeschooling]...recipe for genius: More of family and less of school, more of parents and less of peers, more creative freedom and less formal lessons.”
― Raymond S. Moore, School Can Wait

“Too often we give children answers to remember rather than problems to solve.”
― Roger Lewin

“Homeschooling and public schooling are as opposite as two sides of a coin. In a homeschooling environment, the teacher need not be certified, but the child MUST learn. In a public school environment, the teacher MUST be certified, but the child need NOT learn.”
― Gene Royer

Story of a kids who are 11 years who was not went to school. Becoz he was in grandparents house. Boy was  roaming in forest, playing in fish, phond, river, climbing trees, running with dogs, swimming, etc....paretns felt son is spoiled.... Boy already understood what happens in school. so he is refused to go to school....who will go tot he same play, everyday, same class, same sit, same teaches....But everyody forced him to go to school, father forced, mother forced...Finally boy hold bags , dressed and started going....reached school entrance and father told him "go to school" ...boy told "No"....aaree... you came till here but not going still.... Boy told, father I am not interested, who will sit / read, listen till the bell rings, If you love Physics and reading, till the time bell righgs and then again stop loving and love Chemistry.... You cannot say ... NO No physics physics, you are still hungry of physics, ...But you need to switch offf the interest of physics and go to chemistry mode immidiately like a machine... Does human mind works like that... in that case Devadas will not arise, girls leave but still boy will change the mode and say bye bye... no bottle.....

12. System teaching us to be a professional sad people. We all are the product. Profession to be sad. We went to school without our knowledge. Whyone know when you went to school?

13. Nobody remember past if it is not worth remembering.

14. You are sitting on a beaching, beautiful wheather, fresh air.... how did I write the exam? All vanishes and mood is spoiled. No wind, no water, no oxygen....

15. My Son will understand lession through me. It is the worst thing to happen.

16. We are not happy because we are not alive.

17. Class room - Why should I sit in the same place, same people everyday. Why should I change my mood based on a bell. If I love physica, my love will change if the bell rang and start loving to Chemistry. Does our mind works like that. If that happens then Debadasa will say bye bye to bottle. Learning is a Love affair. It is a flow. How can you forget one class into another. If someone lauching at you and you cannot forget that, how can you forget Physics and jump to Chemistry.

18. You learn how to explore Mac Pro but get an MI.

19. Child story: Was in grandparents, so no schools. Father got him and from grand parents house and send him to school. Boy denied. Fahter dropped son but Son told I will not go. If you push then only I will go. Why volunterairy do somehting which I do not like, at least in my heart there is consolation that I was forced to go.

20. No voluntarily dying.

21. We need to understand the kick of the joy.

🏠 More Home, Less Schooling: A Call to Reclaim Childhood

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Let me begin with a truth so simple, it’s almost forgotten:

> “There is no school equal to a decent home and no teacher equal to a virtuous parent.” — *Mahatma Gandhi*

Yet today, we’ve outsourced childhood. We’ve mechanized learning. We’ve turned curiosity into curriculum and wonder into worksheets.

We send our children to institutions that teach them how to sit still, but not how to stand tall. How to memorize, but not how to marvel. How to obey bells, but not how to follow dreams.

🎓 The classroom has become a cage.
🏡 The home, if nurtured right, is a cradle of genius.

Let me tell you a story.

An 11-year-old boy, raised in the wild warmth of his grandparents’ home, spent his days climbing trees, swimming in rivers, chasing dogs, and catching fish. No school. No syllabus. Just life.

His parents panicked. “He’s spoiled,” they said. “He must go to school.”

So they dressed him, packed his bag, and marched him to the school gate. “Go in,” said the father.

The boy paused. Looked up. And said, “No.”

“Why not?” asked the father.

And the boy replied, “If I love Physics, why must I stop loving it when the bell rings? Why must I switch off my passion like a machine and turn on Chemistry? Does the human mind work like that? If it did, Devdas would’ve said goodbye to Paro and the bottle in one bell ring.”

💔 Learning is not a timetable.
💡 Learning is a love affair.

We’ve built a system that teaches children to be professionally sad. We’ve turned joy into a subject and spontaneity into a sin.

We ask them to sit in the same place, with the same people, every day. We expect them to change moods with the bell. But the mind doesn’t work like that. The heart doesn’t tick like a clock.

If someone insults you, you remember it for years. But we expect children to forget Physics and fall in love with Chemistry in 30 seconds.

This is not education. This is emotional dismemberment.

> “Too often we give children answers to remember rather than problems to solve.” — *Roger Lewin*

We teach them how to explore a MacBook, but give them an MI. We teach them how to pass exams, but not how to live.

And then we wonder—why are they not happy?

Because they are not alive.

🌊 Imagine sitting on a beach, with fresh air and golden light.
But one thought—“How did I write that exam?”—and the wind vanishes. The joy evaporates. The oxygen disappears.

That’s what schooling does. It replaces presence with pressure.

Let me be clear: this is not a war against education. This is a plea for re-education.

> “The home is the first and most effective place to learn the lessons of life: truth, honor, virtue, self-control…” — *David O. McKay*

We must return to the roots. To the rhythm of real life. To the kick of joy.

Let children learn from rivers, not just rulers.
Let them climb trees before they climb corporate ladders.
Let them ask questions before they memorize answers.

And if they must go to school, let it be a place that flows with their curiosity—not fights it.

Because no child should be forced to learn what they do not love.
And no parent should outsource the privilege of teaching.

So I say:
📚 More home. Less schooling.
🧠 More questions. Fewer bells.
❤️ More joy. Less judgment.

Let us not raise machines. Let us raise minds.

Thank you.

CC9 - Persuade with Power "The heck of successful and happy Life"

Good morning everyone!

Let's keep the session interactive. I know, even some people can take a nap with their eyes open. Encourage everyone to be interactive, participative and responsive. Some people still say "Mujhe khush karke dikhao!" with their partialy bloosmed face. Let's not do like that. Laugh, smile and talk as and when required. You may not unmute your mic but you can give a thums-up/down or use comments to answers etc...

The speech titled  "The heck of successful and happy Life..."

Howmany of you want to become successful and happy ?

2 things are importants to succeed in life:
1. Domain knowledge is knowledge of a specific, specialized discipline. (specialists or experts) I am a software engineer, I need to be knowledgible about my field. This can be built, learnt, copied,  acquired.
2. Second and the most imporatnt is the Soft Skill. What are softskills ? Any names ? ....decisive, positive attitude, Joyfullness, trust worthy, confidance, quick learner, jovial,  .... All are correct....

When transition happens from institution to industries what are the main criteris the recruiter looks at. Anyway students are mainly freshers so from where do they get much domain knowldge? They see these soft skills..... Quick learner, team player, ploblem solver, quick in understanding the problem, better responding to situations, Motivational power, go along with people, confident, creative  etc etc.... These are the skills which are difficult to learn, copy, built, acquired...If you analyze deeper then  the first skill is based on the second skills. If someone  has a good soft skills then they can easily acquire domain knowledge...So soft skills are the most important skills which one can have.

From where does softskills comes? It comes from mind. Is not not correct? Somone is confidant, Is it from body or mind or from outside?  We can observe someday we feel happy and confident but someday not. It is based on the state of mind. Creativity is also from mind. Problem solving, team player... all are from Mind only....

Now the most important is how much we know our mind?  I did my MS, post that I am thinking why did I do that? Without knowing how does mind works, can we utilize the mind as it's best?  Knowing or understanding mind is one step and then using different faculties of mind are the next things. Once we reach there then we are the master of our mind. Can we be happy without knowing our mind? can we be confident without knowing our Mind?   Mind  is one thing which can be a best friend or it can be a most deadly enemy. May of the suicide cases  are because of the bad mind, mind becoming enemy of ourself. "Man ke jith me jith hai, man ke har main har"

OK, Let's do an exercise to understand the mind. Close your eyes, Both eyes please. Anybody here with third eye? the God of gods Shiva has a 3rd eye.... Safe...do not worry. Just thingk about anything but not about Dog. Possible ? It is YOUR mind, YOU are thinking.... but surprisingly always Dog comes into you thought. "What you resist will persist" ...Rule#1 of the Mind.  Tell a child not to put hand in a box, but the child will do nothing but put the hand there. .... Do fasting but do not think about chocolate....Possible?

Mind stays in past always...It renders in past memories... Went to a birthday party, everyone appreciated to your dressing sense but one person gave a negative comment. You came home and what you think about is that One and only one negative comment....Is it logical to think about that one thing ignoring all other positive comments ? No...but still our mind think about that.   Rule#2 of mind, Intellectually you cannot deal with mind.

Raise your hand who wants to leave bad habbits ? Negative emotion, over thinking  etc etc...Good news is that "we are not alone". Bad news is that "everyone has problems"

When I say live in the present, do not think about past, it  does not look feasible. Sometime even consciously also we cannot concentrate on the present. Snap the finger and mind is in the present. Try to think about the past while snaping your finger ? Possible ? Only espect which lies in the presnt is your breathing. It just runs in present and only in present.

So the trick to be happy and peaceful is to keep your mind only in the present. How is that possible ? Somehow connecting the mind with breath. That is the heck,  is to connect your mind with your breath and it is all present for you always

Breath  ---> Mind-----> Present

Anger - Short & fast breathing
Depressed - No inhale but long exhale
Happily smelling a rose - full inhale and exhale
1 crore  - Aap ke screen mai  ye raha
Very fearful (Lezard/cocroch) - Breath stops ...

Every emotion has a corresponding breathing pattern. ....If emotion can change breathing the reverse is also possible. Breathing can change your emotion.

How to deal with breathing? All your education has failed on this.

Manythings may not go in your way. Changing some situation also not in your capability evel as well. But ofcourse you can change your mind or breathing. You are in a 5* hotel and all set for a big party but got a bad news..No fun. Where do we live? We live in mind.

Is the body worth living?  Make it healthy and happy

After Medtation a fresh mind ....to purify the mind.
After bath a fresh body

to be continued......

....Mind...meditation,
Asana for body .....

Write the profound story about the junglee man who used to burnt Sandle wood to sell coal befroe the king enlightne him.... Let's not waste precious thing in life ....

🎯 The Heck of a Successful and Happy Life

Good morning, everyone!

Let’s keep this session alive. I know some of you can take a nap with your eyes open—true talent! And some still sit with a half-bloomed face saying, “Mujhe khush karke dikhao.” But today, I’m not here to entertain—I’m here to awaken.

So smile, laugh, nod, comment, react. You don’t need to unmute your mic, but you do need to unmute your mind.

Let’s begin with a simple question:

**How many of you want to be successful and happy?**
Raise your hand. Or raise your eyebrows. But raise something!

Now let me reveal the heck—the real trick—behind success and happiness.

### 🧠 Two Pillars of Success

1. **Domain Knowledge**
The specialized skill. The technical expertise. I’m a software engineer—I need to know my craft. This can be built, learned, copied, acquired.

2. **Soft Skills**
The invisible power. Confidence, joyfulness, trustworthiness, creativity, decisiveness, adaptability. These are not taught—they’re cultivated.

When students transition from college to corporate, recruiters don’t expect deep domain knowledge. They look for soft skills.
- Can you learn quickly?
- Can you solve problems?
- Can you work with people?
- Can you stay motivated?

And here’s the twist:
👉 If you have strong soft skills, you can easily acquire domain knowledge.
But the reverse? Not so easy.

### 🧠 Where Do Soft Skills Come From?

They come from the **mind**.

Confidence is not in your muscles. Creativity is not in your bones. Problem-solving is not in your blood.
It’s all in the mind.

But how well do we know our mind?

I did my MS. And then I asked myself—why?
Without understanding how the mind works, how can we use it to its fullest?

The mind can be your best friend—or your worst enemy.
It can lift you to joy—or drag you into despair.
Many suicides happen not because of life—but because of the mind becoming our enemy.

> “Man ke jeet mein jeet hai, man ke haar mein haar.”

### 🧘‍♂️ Let’s Do a Mind Experiment

Close your eyes. Both eyes, please.
Anyone here with a third eye? Shiva’s got one—we’re safe.

Now think about anything—but NOT about a dog.

Try it.

And what happens?
The dog walks in. Wags its tail. Sits in your thought.

Why?

> “What you resist will persist.” — Rule #1 of the Mind

Tell a child not to touch the box—they’ll touch it.
Do fasting—but don’t think about chocolate.
Good luck.

### 🕰️ Rule #2: The Mind Lives in the Past

You go to a party. Ten people praise your outfit. One person criticizes.
You come home—and think only about that one comment.

Is it logical? No.
Is it real? Yes.
Because the mind doesn’t follow logic—it follows emotion.

Raise your hand if you want to leave bad habits, negative emotions, overthinking.

Good news: You’re not alone.
Bad news: Everyone has problems.

### 🌬️ The Breath-Mind Connection

Snap your fingers. Try thinking about the past while snapping.
Can’t do it.

The only thing that exists in the present is your **breath**.

So here’s the heck:
**Connect your mind to your breath. That’s the gateway to happiness.**

Breath → Mind → Present

- Angry? Short, fast breathing.
- Depressed? Long exhale, no inhale.
- Smelling a rose? Full inhale and exhale.
- Fear? Breath stops.

If emotion can change breath, breath can change emotion.

Your education may not teach this. But your experience will.

You may not control the situation. But you can control your breath.
You may not change the world. But you can change your mind.

We live in the mind.
Let’s make it a good place to live.

After meditation, the mind is fresh.
After a bath, the body is fresh.
Both are needed. One purifies your thoughts. The other, your skin.

### 🔥 The Story of the Jungle Man

Once upon a time, in a dense forest, lived a man who burned sandalwood to make charcoal.
He sold the coal for pennies, unaware of the priceless fragrance he was destroying.

One day, a wise king visited. He saw the smoke, smelled the scent, and asked, “Why burn what is precious?”

The man replied, “I need to survive.”

The king said, “Survive, yes—but not by wasting your treasure.”

That man was burning his potential.
Just like we burn our peace, our joy, our breath—for temporary gains.

Let’s not waste the sandalwood of our life.
Let’s not sell coal when we carry perfume.

---

So, my friends, the heck of a successful and happy life is not in your degree.
Not in your designation.
Not in your destination.

It’s in your **mind**.
It’s in your **breath**.
It’s in your **present moment**.

Master that—and you master everything.

Thank you.
