Persuade with Power:
More home and less school:
“There is no school equal to a decent home and no teacher equal to a virtuous parent.”
― Gandhi
“The home is the first and most effective place to learn the lessons of life: truth, honor, virtue, self control, the value of education, honest work, and the purpose and privilege of life. Nothing can take the place of home in rearing and teaching children, and no other success can compensate for failure in the home.”
― David O. McKay
“It is the mark of a truly educated man to know what not to read.”....what to say, how to say...what to read what not to read ...
― Ezra Taft Benson
“[Homeschooling]...recipe for genius: More of family and less of school, more of parents and less of peers, more creative freedom and less formal lessons.”
― Raymond S. Moore, School Can Wait
“Too often we give children answers to remember rather than problems to solve.”
― Roger Lewin
“Homeschooling and public schooling are as opposite as two sides of a coin. In a homeschooling environment, the teacher need not be certified, but the child MUST learn. In a public school environment, the teacher MUST be certified, but the child need NOT learn.”
― Gene Royer

12. System teaching us to be a professional sad people. We all are the product. Profession to be sad. We went to school without our knowledge. Whyone know when you went to school?
13. Nobody remember past if it is not worth remembering.
14. You are sitting on a beaching, beautiful wheather, fresh air.... how did I write the exam? All vanishes and mood is spoiled. No wind, no water, no oxygen....
15. My Son will understand lession through me. It is the worst thing to happen.
16. We are not happy because we are not alive.
17. Class room - Why should I sit in the same place, same people everyday. Why should I change my mood based on a bell. If I love physica, my love will change if the bell rang and start loving to Chemistry. Does our mind works like that. If that happens then Debadasa will say bye bye to bottle. Learning is a Love affair. It is a flow. How can you forget one class into another. If someone lauching at you and you cannot forget that, how can you forget Physics and jump to Chemistry.
18. You learn how to explore Mac Pro but get an MI.
19. Child story: Was in grandparents, so no schools. Father got him and from grand parents house and send him to school. Boy denied. Fahter dropped son but Son told I will not go. If you push then only I will go. Why volunterairy do somehting which I do not like, at least in my heart there is consolation that I was forced to go.
20. No voluntarily dying.

π More Home, Less Schooling: A Call to Reclaim Childhood
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Let me begin with a truth so simple, it’s almost forgotten:
> “There is no school equal to a decent home and no teacher equal to a virtuous parent.” — *Mahatma Gandhi*
Yet today, we’ve outsourced childhood. We’ve mechanized learning. We’ve turned curiosity into curriculum and wonder into worksheets.
We send our children to institutions that teach them how to sit still, but not how to stand tall. How to memorize, but not how to marvel. How to obey bells, but not how to follow dreams.
π The classroom has become a cage.
π‘ The home, if nurtured right, is a cradle of genius.
Let me tell you a story.
An 11-year-old boy, raised in the wild warmth of his grandparents’ home, spent his days climbing trees, swimming in rivers, chasing dogs, and catching fish. No school. No syllabus. Just life.
His parents panicked. “He’s spoiled,” they said. “He must go to school.”
So they dressed him, packed his bag, and marched him to the school gate. “Go in,” said the father.
The boy paused. Looked up. And said, “No.”
“Why not?” asked the father.
And the boy replied, “If I love Physics, why must I stop loving it when the bell rings? Why must I switch off my passion like a machine and turn on Chemistry? Does the human mind work like that? If it did, Devdas would’ve said goodbye to Paro and the bottle in one bell ring.”
π Learning is not a timetable.
π‘ Learning is a love affair.
We’ve built a system that teaches children to be professionally sad. We’ve turned joy into a subject and spontaneity into a sin.
We ask them to sit in the same place, with the same people, every day. We expect them to change moods with the bell. But the mind doesn’t work like that. The heart doesn’t tick like a clock.
If someone insults you, you remember it for years. But we expect children to forget Physics and fall in love with Chemistry in 30 seconds.
This is not education. This is emotional dismemberment.
> “Too often we give children answers to remember rather than problems to solve.” — *Roger Lewin*
We teach them how to explore a MacBook, but give them an MI. We teach them how to pass exams, but not how to live.
And then we wonder—why are they not happy?
Because they are not alive.
π Imagine sitting on a beach, with fresh air and golden light.
But one thought—“How did I write that exam?”—and the wind vanishes. The joy evaporates. The oxygen disappears.
That’s what schooling does. It replaces presence with pressure.
Let me be clear: this is not a war against education. This is a plea for re-education.
> “The home is the first and most effective place to learn the lessons of life: truth, honor, virtue, self-control…” — *David O. McKay*
We must return to the roots. To the rhythm of real life. To the kick of joy.
Let children learn from rivers, not just rulers.
Let them climb trees before they climb corporate ladders.
Let them ask questions before they memorize answers.
And if they must go to school, let it be a place that flows with their curiosity—not fights it.
Because no child should be forced to learn what they do not love.
And no parent should outsource the privilege of teaching.
So I say:
π More home. Less schooling.
π§ More questions. Fewer bells.
❤️ More joy. Less judgment.
Let us not raise machines. Let us raise minds.
Thank you.
